23/3/14 22:40This is for the people who are not familiar with the video game Bioshock. If you aren't familiar with it then what are you doing here? Get a move on-go play it because it is totally worth it.
As far as Jack knew he had a normal life. He had lived in Kansas with his mother and father on a farm. Just like normal families they believed in him, telling him things like he would be great. And low and behold they had been right. Thanks to a present that had been planted on him that had him drive a plane he had been in into the ocean.
When he emerged to the surface of the water, he had found himself thrown into a strange world. He found that the plane had crashed near a lighthouse. Inside the light house was a bathosphere that led him to an underwater town called Rapture.
From the moment of entering the city the young man was thrown into a world that was akin to hell. The young man only had one person considered a trustworthy ally. His name was Atlas, his goal was to help him out of Rapture and to keep him alive. The only thing Jack had to do was to help Atlas by saving his wife and child.
So Jack had been thrown into a world that was crawling with crazed splicers. The splicers had once been normal people whom had been brought down to the city. They had over dosed on something called plasmids (a gene altering drug that gave the people powers such as electricity, and bees coming out of their hands)
But as the story progressed Jack found himself unsure of who to trust and even found that his father was the actual founder of Rapture. The man that Atlas had him later kill. It was later found that Atlas was not who he said he was, in fact he was a man named Fontaine. The man under the name of Fontaine wanted Rapture for himself, wanted to be the king of Rapture. He went as far as paying other to make a perfect assassin. They managed to age the child far more quickly then a normal human. In actuality Jack was around the age of 4 years old thought he looked around late 30s-early 40s.
Fontaine made sure that he had a back up plan that would make his little assassin unable to fight him back. With the simple phrase "Would you kindly.." Jack would be unable to stop himself from doing what he had been told. but there was a person who found a way to stop it. But that was only plan a of stopping Jack, there was another word, a word that would stop his heart.
After managing to kill Fontaine he was given the choice to become king of rapture himself. Depending on which ending you receive he either accepts or denies. This Jack got the good ending, he returned to the surface with 5 little sisters and was allowed to raise them until he eventually died of old age.
