Jack
Character History: Jack Ryan wasn’t always the trigger happy man running about in Rapture that we see today. In fact if you asked Jack about his past he would tell you that he had a home in Kansas with his mother and father. He had a normal life until he took a plane to go visit his cousin in England which happened to be near a certain light house. The plane plummeted into the icy water and Jack was the only survivor.
Having just barely survived and in an awful panic he swims towards a lighthouse in the middle of the ocean. A door open slightly and eerie as hell awaited him at the top of the steps, but that didn’t stop the ever curious Jack from going inside. What he found upon going into the light house was a staircase leading to a strange pod called a bathysphere. Once inside of it and starting his journey he found himself soon spiraling into a world of madness. A city under the ocean, a city called Rapture.
Upon his arrival he came into contact through radio with a man named Atlas. The man’s goal was to keep Jack alive and to find a way to get him out of the city. The only thing he needed from Jack was to save Atlas’ wife and child that had been taken from him. If Jack did that for him then he would lead him to safety. A much more difficult challenge once Ryan’s eye is on him.
Instead of being able to go straight through to where Atlas’ family is being held Jack had to go through the medical pavilion. There had been recordings all throughout the area, talking of a man named Steinman. He had been a surgeon who had originally been more than happy to just work on simple plastic surgeries. But as time progressed he began to lose his mind, thinking that the goddess Aphrodite was speaking to him, that she was guiding his hand during surgeries. In the end he killed many of his patients for reasons such as: they were to fat, tall, symmetrical, or just wouldn’t hold still. Jack had to kill the doctor to grab the keys and continue on his journey. But the doctor didn’t give in without a fight. It took some time to kill him but once it had been done Jack managed to get the key and continue on. During his time in the medical pavilion he met a woman named Tenanbeum (he believes it to be his first time meeting her.) She gave him the ability to Rescue the little sisters and return them to normal and get only a small portion of ADAM.
The further along Jack journeys the more things become a bit suspicious. His family back home being one of those things as well as if the plane simply fell or if it was possibly hijacked. The answers were later revealed that Jack’s family was nothing more than fake memories and that he had hijacked the plane thanks to a gift with a trigger phrase “would you kindly” that would make Jack do whatever was asked of him without complaint. Jack was stripped of a family and any hope for normal life and was instead given his true past. He had been raised in a lab and was growing at an extremely quick pace. Not to mention that his father was the one who built rapture and his mother had been Andrew Ryan’s mistress who sold the embryo due to her desperation. He had been worked on by Tenenbaum and Professor Suchong and was later bought by Fontaine in case Fontaine needed a back-up plan in case anything went bad. He lived his life topside as a sleeper agent until activated.
When he made his way to Andrew Ryan’s room Andrew used the trigger word to make Jack kill him. As soon as Andrew was dead Atlas revealed himself to be Frank Fontaine and thanked him for handing him the keys to Rapture before trying to kill Jack. After all Jack was now nothing more than a loose end. But thanks to Tenanbaum and the little sisters Jack was saved and set out to kill Fontaine. But to get to him Jack had to alter himself and become a big daddy.
This required a lot of time and plenty of pain due to him having to find parts of the suit, gather the stuff that smelled terrible but was used to attract little sisters, and get a deeper voice. Once disguised as a big daddy he had his last battle with Frank Fontaine. In the end he had been forced onto the ground and was about to be killed when the little sisters attacked frank and their syringes to extract the ADAM to kill the man.
Jack was then given the choice to stay and rule over Rapture or to leave to the surface. He ended up choosing to adopt 5 of the girls and went to the surface. He raised them from that point on until he died of old age surrounded by the little sisters whom were now older and married.

Abilities/Special Powers: Jack has many powers in actuality, though most were only given to him once reaching Rapture. If he doesn’t have plasmids (gene altering drug that gives you powers such as shooting electricity out of your hands) he essentially won’t have any powers. A bit of a anti-power is the trigger word "Would you kindly." if someone says that phrase with some sort of command he is forced to do it, even If he doesn't want to.

Third-Person Sample: The flickering lights always put Jack on edge though he assumed at this point he should have been used to such things around Rapture. He should be used to a lot of things at this point honestly. Being up to his ankles in seawater that was leaking from god knows where while trying to figure out which wires to put together while keeping his eyes open in case a splicer came along was one of those things. Yet here he was cringing whenever the damn machine would talk about circus of values, always worried that that would catch a splicer’s attention while he was wrapped up in hacking the machine. Would serve him right he guessed if the machine was out to get him for hacking it.
He winced a bit and pulled back as one of the wires shocked him but after a moment to pull himself together he went at the wires again. This time he found himself figuring out which wires went where in record time. It was probably because one shock was enough to make him get a move on. He smiled slightly when a first aid kit slid out of the machine without him putting any money in; sometimes he was lucky he supposed!
He opened it and put the disgusting goop out of the box and slathered it on his wounds before buying a pep bar and some ammo. Quickly pocketing the rest he sighed and moved to get out of the water. He opened the bar as silently as he could and took an eager bite. He was eating constantly but he needed to stay alive, and besides he couldn’t remember the last time he had a descent, full meal. As he ate he looked at his reflection in one of the windows. He almost didn’t recognize himself anymore under all that grime and mud. The effects of the plasmids were also starting to show on his face making him getting a sickening feeling in his stomach. He ended up turning away.
He could think about all of that later, right now he needed to find Andrew and finish this. Then Atlas would help him out of this place and he would be able to go home.
First-Person Sample : [The sound of the bots whizzing around and sounding of their alarms was nearly deafening. Getting caught by those damn security cameras was not the best idea he had but he needed one of those bots at least. In a weird way they made him feel less lonely and far more protected.
After all it was another set of guns that would be firing at an enemy, he would be covered. But this part was always the pain. He needed to shock one while it was flying and hack it before it could hurt him.]

Hold still.
[His voice came out in a mumble, talking more to himself as he positioned his hand and fired the electro bolt. The machine stopped working, falling to the ground. That was Jack’s cue. He ran over to the machine and started quickly hacking it. Making sure that the wiring was perfect in the short time he had before seeing the red lights turn into a bright green. He had done it, thank god. There were only 5 more seconds before the alarm would turn off. So with the best effort he shot the other bots down as quickly as possible until the alarm stopped and all was silent.
Except for the screams of the splicers in the background; those always put Jack on edge. The bot chirped a couple of times as it flew near Jack’s head causing the man to look up at it.]

Well, at least I’ve got you. Let’s go…
[With that he started to head towards Andrew Ryan’s office, with little to no idea of what to expect. But he had a feeling Andrew would not go down without some sort of fight.]
